I think I’ve been able to pinpoint what makes this job so different from any other job I’ve ever had (besides the fact that I studied for three years to be qualified enough to do it). The difference is that each shift feels like an exam, with different questions every time, where everything you’ve learned for the past three years is being tested and evaluated. Except there’s no pen or paper and you can’t erase that last thing you thought was right but that you now realize really wasn’t. But then again, you can ask your friends and and try to find the answer in a book and it isn’t considered cheating.

I guess this is something that changes with time, but I’ve only worked a month so far…
